Paul Bryant is a Senior Environmental Planner specialising in environmental impact assessment, statutory approvals, and complex multi-disciplinary project coordination across renewable energy, resource recovery, mining, and major infrastructure projects. With experience spanning both government and private sectors, he brings a strong blend of technical expertise, regulatory understanding, and practical project management to every engagement.
Since 2018, Paul has delivered planning and environmental services for some of Australia’s most significant projects, including large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind farms, landfill expansions, recycling infrastructure, mining operations, and critical minerals exploration. He is recognised for his ability to interpret complex legislation, navigate approval pathways, and produce clear, accurate documentation for public exhibition and government determination.
Paul has extensive experience coordinating biodiversity, heritage, noise, water, hazards, bushfire, social impact, and contamination specialists, ensuring technical inputs are cohesive, compliant, and aligned with project objectives. He regularly leads Environmental Impact Statements, scoping reports, modification applications, and environmental authority documentation, working closely with councils, regulators, communities, Registered Aboriginal Parties, and private stakeholders.
His project leadership includes managing multi-million-dollar approvals programs for major energy proponents, directing technical studies, overseeing community engagement materials, and ensuring governance, quality assurance, and version control across all project documentation. Paul’s approach is grounded in technical rigour, statutory clarity, and a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Paul holds a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and a Bachelor of Environmental Science, with additional international study experience in Copenhagen. His background includes roles with state government, major environmental consultancies, and project delivery teams, positioning him as a trusted advisor capable of guiding projects from feasibility through to approvals and compliance.
